HockeyWolf Player of the Month: Noah Dziver Wilderness captain delivers league-leading production in dominant January

Noah Dziver continues to set the standard offensively for the Minnesota Wilderness, earning HockeyWolf Player of the Month honors after a dominant January. The 6'0 forward recorded points in 11 of 12 games during the month, showcasing the consistency and leadership that have defined his season.
Dziver led the league with 24 points in January, averaging two points per game while producing eight goals and a league best 16 assists. His most notable performance came on January 3, 2026, when the second year veteran delivered a season high six point outing, scoring a shorthanded goal and adding five assists. Over the course of the month, Dziver registered seven multi-point games and finished with a +13 rating, further highlighting his impact in all situations. The Winnipeg, Manitoba native was also recently named a Top Prospect for the Midwest Division roster.
Reflecting on the honor, Dziver emphasized the importance of those around him: “Winning Forward of the Month for the second time feels really special to me; it shows the consistency I have been working toward all season. My success in January comes from my teammates and coaches. They push me to be better and allow me to perform at my best.”
During the season, the 20 year old captain continues to rank among the top forwards in the NAHL. He leads the Wilderness in total points with 59 and assists with 37, while sitting second on the team with 22 goals. His 1.64 points-per-game ranks third among all skaters in the league. Dziver has recorded at least one point in 30 of his 36 games this season, reinforcing his reputation as one of the league’s most reliable offensive producers.

This month’s honor adds to an already decorated season that includes October Forward of the Month recognition and two Midwest Division Star of the Week selections.
Wilderness head coach Zach Stepan spoke to Dziver’s value as both a player and leader,
“Noah Dziver continues to meet and exceed the expectations placed on him as our captain and top center. While it would be easy to list the many details of his play and preparation, the reality is simple: he is doing everything a coach can ask of a leader and more. His consistency, accountability, and commitment to the team standard are evident every day. It comes as no surprise that he is once again being recognized for his performance.”
Respect for Dziver extends beyond his own bench. Janesville Jets head coach Lenny Childs added,
“I respect his compete and the way he plays the game. Always respectful to all players on the ice and he is a good player in a lot of areas. Probably the most I’ve respected a player on another team as a coach.”
Wilderness scout Chris Ratzloff echoed that sentiment,
“It’s always a treat when we get a chance to see the big club and Ziv live down in Cloquet. Ziv entertains with his hard work and hockey IQ, making plays and his teammates better.”
With elite production, steady leadership, and universal respect across the league, Noah Dziver proved to be a clear choice for HockeyWolf Player of the Month.
