Victorious Player Spotlight: Andrew Brubakken Andrew Brubakken named this week’s Victorious Player Spotlight

Some players dominate at one level and embrace the challenge of proving themselves at the next. Andrew Brubakken is doing exactly that, bringing his scoring ability, speed, and size from high school hockey into the junior ranks while continuing to build his game.
A Strong Foundation and the Next Step
Looking back on last season and where he is now, Andrew said:
"I played for my high school team in North Dakota, the Bismarck Century Patriots. Last season I had 27 goals and 21 assists in 27 games. Career-wise at Century, I recorded 65 goals and 58 assists for 123 points in 81 games. I am now with the Ironwood Lumberjacks of the SIJHL and have currently played 5 games, recording 2 goals and 2 assists."
Early Junior Milestones
Andrew is just beginning his junior career, but he’s already taken important first steps.
"So far I have not hit any milestones other than achieving my first junior points."
What Sets Him Apart
Andrew is confident in the tools he brings to the ice and how he uses them to help his team.
"Attributes that set me apart are my skating, speed, size, and my scoring touch. I use these skills to help my teammates and those who are on my team."

Driven in the Classroom
Academics have always been a priority for Andrew, and his high school record reflects that commitment.
"In high school I took academics very seriously, posting a 3.89 GPA and taking multiple college classes while still in high school. I would love to use what I learned in high school to further my education in college. Areas I would like to pursue are architecture design and finance careers."
College Hockey Goals
When looking ahead to college hockey, Andrew remains ambitious but realistic about finding the right fit both academically and athletically.
"I would like to continue my hockey career to the fullest and play at the highest level I can. Obviously everyone’s dream is to play Division I. I see opportunities that fit me in NCAA Division III, as well as high end ACHA Division I schools that offer good education and strong academics."
Guidance and Opportunity
Andrew credits working with Stephen Heisler for helping him navigate opportunities and take his next step in junior hockey.
"Since being with Stephen I have had several opportunities and found a spot in Ironwood, Michigan, with the Lumberjacks. I am excited to see what next year could bring and where I will be."
Looking Ahead
With a proven scoring background, strong academic foundation, and a willingness to compete at the junior level, Andrew Brubakken is just getting started. As he continues to adjust to junior hockey and build momentum, he’s positioning himself for continued growth both on the ice and in the classroom.
