NA3HL's Kaden Rhyder Named HockeyWolf Player of the Week Great Falls American's netminder continues dominance

After earning All-NA3HL Third Team honors during the 2024-25 season, third-year Great Falls Americans goaltender Kaden Rhyder continues to prove why he’s one of the league’s elite. The Elizabethtown, PA native was named HockeyWolf Player of the Week after a dominant weekend between the pipes, backstopping the Americans to a pair of impressive wins over the Sheridan Hawks and Yellowstone Quake.

Rhyder was nothing short of outstanding, posting his best numbers of the season and anchoring the Americans’ defensive effort.

In game one, Rhyder delivered a statement performance against the high-flying Hawks, handing them just their second loss in their last 10 games. He turned aside 49 of 50 shots in a 3–1 victory, recording a stellar .980 save percentage—his best outing of the year.

Rhyder carried that same intensity into game two, leading Great Falls to a dominant 7–1 win over Yellowstone. He stopped 25 of 26 shots, finishing the weekend with 76 saves on 78 shots and an incredible .973 save percentage.

Americans Head Coach Greg Sears praised Rhyder’s resilience and leadership following the weekend sweep:

“It was great to see Kaden back to his old self after the injury. He’s a true leader for us, both on and off the ice, and he had an outstanding weekend that really set the tone for the team.”
