Victorious Prospect Spotlight: Cassidy Kittredge Corpus Christi IceRays' Goaltender with Grit, Leadership, and a Bright Future

Last season marked a major step forward for goaltender Cassidy Kittridge, who split time between the St. Mark’s School Lions and the Minuteman Flames half-season team. With a .927 save percentage for the Flames and a .920 for St. Mark’s, Kittridge proved himself as one of the top high school and midget-level goalies in the region. Now, he's elevating his game at the junior level with the Corpus Christi IceRays of the North American Hockey League (NAHL), a crucial development stage for NCAA and professional hopefuls.
“It’s going really well so far,” says Kittridge of his time with Corpus Christi. “The pace is faster and the competition is intense, but I’m learning every day and excited to be part of such a competitive environment.”
While his numbers speak volumes, Kittridge’s impact goes well beyond his save percentage. Last season, he was named team captain for both the St. Mark’s Lions and the Minuteman Flames — a rare honor for a goaltender and a testament to his leadership. He was also selected for the ASFL All-Star Team and helped lead St. Mark’s to the Elite 8 tournament bracket for the first time in school history.
“I think what sets me apart are the intangibles—my work ethic, leadership, and drive to keep improving every single day,” Kittridge explains. “I believe in purposeful practice, being a positive presence on and off the ice, and keeping a strong growth mindset.”

Kittridge doesn’t just bring excellence to the rink—he brings it to the classroom as well. An honor student at St. Mark’s, he carried an impressive 3.90 unweighted GPA (4.2 weighted). His academic drive matches his on-ice ambitions, and he's planning to study business with a focus on finance in college, with the ultimate goal of working in private equity.
“I’ve always been interested in numbers and business,” he says. “Finance is a field where I can combine analytical thinking with strategic decision-making, which really appeals to me.”
When it comes to his future in hockey, Kittridge has his eyes on the NCAA. “I hope to play NCAA Division I hockey, but I’d be grateful to compete at any level, especially at a school with strong academics,” he says. “The opportunity to continue growing as a player while getting a great education is what I’m looking for.”
A key influence in Kittridge’s journey has been hockey advisor Stephen Heisler. “Stephen has been a tremendous resource for me. He’s helped me navigate the often complicated world of junior and youth hockey. He’s always there when I need advice, support, or just to talk things through. I truly believe I wouldn’t be where I am now without his guidance.”
With elite-level stats, strong leadership, academic excellence, and a clear vision for his future, Cassidy Kittridge is a name to watch in the world of junior hockey — and beyond.
