WARRIORS ACQUIRE DEFENSEMAN ELIJAH GILBERTSON FROM GILLETTE Oklahoma City Warriors acquired defenseman Elijah Gilbertson from Gillette Wild for future considerations

OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. – The Oklahoma City Warriors, proud members of the NA3HL South Division, announced Tuesday the acquisition of defenseman Elijah Gilbertson from the Gillette Wild in exchange for future considerations.
Gilbertson, 17, spent the entirety of his youth career at the AAA level, but most recently split duties last season with the Rocky Mountain Roughriders 18U AAA and Gillette Wild.
“We’re excited to welcome Elijah to the Warriors organization,” Assistant Coach Artem Lantukh said. “He’s a 2008-born defenseman who brings a strong work ethic and a steady defensive and offensive presence. We are looking forward to watching him continue to develop in a Warriors jersey.”
In 49 games with the Roughriders, the 6-foot-1 blueliner recorded one goal and eight assists, before joining the Wild midseason, adding two goals and two assists in 10 games to his season totals.
The 2008-born forward also participated in the NAHL’s 18U Prospects Challenge with the El Paso Rhinos, making appearances in four games.
Prior to the Roughriders, the Denver, Colorado native spent the 2024-25 season with the Omaha Mastery 16U AAA, logging four assists in 51 appearances overall.
The Warriors begin the season at home on Friday, Sept. 11, taking on the New Mexico Ice Wolves. Puck drop from Blazers Ice Centre is set for 7 p.m. CST.
