Vanhanen contributed significantly to the Silvertips' three consecutive victories, helping them reach the top of the WHL standings. He recorded 10 points in these games, scoring two goals and eight assists.
Highlights from his week include a career-high five points (one goal, four assists) in a win against the Tri-City Americans, a goal and two assists in a victory over the Victoria Royals, and two assists in another win.
Through his initial six games this season, Vanhanen ranks second in league scoring with 13 points and has an ongoing five-game point streak. His points have come from various game situations.
Drafted 31st overall in the 2025 CHL Import Draft, Vanhanen signed with the Silvertips on July 15, 2025. He has quickly become a key player. Vanhanen also represented Finland at the 2025 IIHF U18 World Championship.
