NA3HL Goaltender takes HockeyWolf Player of the Week for September 11th Bozeman Icedogs' Netminder Jack Ryan Shines in Season Debut

Bozeman, MT– In a dazzling start to the 2025-26 campaign, the Bozeman Icedogs’ netminder, Jack Ryan, has been named the HockeyWolf Player of the Week. The 2006-born goalie, entering his sophomore season, wasted no time proving he is a force to be reckoned with, earning back-to-back victories against fierce divisional rivals.

The Denver, CO native was nothing short of brilliant between the pipes, a steadying presence through two intense road contests. First, he stonewalled the Butte Irish, turning aside 33 of 34 shots in a tight, gritty battle. Less than 24 hours later, Ryan was back at it against the Great Falls Americans, facing a barrage of 45 shots and allowing just two to find the back of the net.

The Icedogs spent a significant amount of time shorthanded throughout the weekend, but that’s where Ryan truly separated himself. With his team in the box, the young goalie stood tall, completely shutting down both the Irish and Americans on the power play and extinguishing every threat.

His weekend was a clinic in goaltending. Ryan finished his heroics with a sparkling .962 save percentage and a tidy 1.50 goals-against average, showcasing the kind of elite performance that defines a true Player of the Week.

When asked about Ryan’s dominant performance, Head Coach Mike Perkins glowed with pride. "We’re excited to see Jack’s growth and development from last year to this year," Perkins said. "His play over the weekend not only gave us a chance to win both games, but also set the tone for our team to keep improving. He was a calming, confident presence, and his performance gave the entire team a huge lift.
