Last season was a major year of growth for goaltender Reilly Gregory, who played for the Cherry Creek Bruins, posting impressive numbers and establishing himself as a reliable presence between the pipes. “Last season I played with the Cherry Creek Bruins, finishing the season with a 91.9 SV% on 997 shots against,” Gregory said.
Gregory’s career already includes several notable milestones that reflect his leadership and competitive spirit. “I’ve been awarded the team MVP (the heart trophy) two years in a row for my work ethic, leadership skills, and overall performance,” he explained. “In the last two years I’ve competed in 11 tournaments, winning seven, finishing as a finalist in nine, and being voted tournament MVP twice. I also hold the title of most wins for a single goaltender in program history.”
What separates Gregory from other players is the dedication and focus he brings to his development both on and off the ice. “I’ve spoken with coaches varying across all levels I’ve competed at, and unanimously I’ve been told my strengths are my work ethic, my coachability, and my leadership qualities,” he said. “Extra hours with video work, off-ice training, on-ice training, and even position-specific work have not gone unnoticed by both coaches, peers, and even parents of teammates—both past and present.”
Beyond the rink, Gregory continues to show the same level of discipline in the classroom. “I am currently in my senior year of high school looking to pursue kinesiology at a collegiate level after I am finished competing at the Tier 1, Tier 2, or Tier 3 level in junior hockey,” he said. “I also look forward to hopefully competing at the collegiate level, whether it be NCAA or ACHA. However, no matter what league or division I end up in, I see myself always working to improve and master my style and technique.”
Gregory also credits his advisor, Stephen Heisler, and the Victorious Hockey team for playing a key role in his development and helping him navigate the junior hockey landscape. “I’ve had an excellent experience with Stephen and his team at Victorious Hockey,” Gregory said. “This is the strongest support system I’ve had in my entire hockey experience. I’ve always been wary about advisors due to the impersonal nature of most interactions I’ve had in the past, but Stephen and his team have completely changed my view.”
He added, “They’ve been nothing but detail-oriented, timely, and friendly with me and my family. From our very first phone call to now—where I’ve just gotten back from my first visit from a team this past week—Stephen and his team have transformed the junior hockey landscape completely for me. They’ve given me the edge I needed to create personal connections with coaches and bring my game to the next level.”
With his impressive play, strong leadership qualities, and dedication to his craft, Reilly Gregory continues to prove himself as one of junior hockey’s most promising young goaltenders—poised for success both on the ice and in the classroom.
