Victorious Prospect Spotlight: Cole Vogt A hardworking forward built for big moments and the tough areas of the ice

Play: AI Text To Voice
Some players make noise with flashy plays. Others make a difference with hard work, consistency, and the willingness to go where goals are earned, not given. Cole Vogt has built his game on battling in the corners, competing at the front of the net, and stepping up when the moment calls for it.

A Season of Growth and a Strong Start

Cole spent last season with the Ohio AAA Blue Jackets, where he put together a strong offensive year, finishing with 14 goals and 17 assists for 31 points. He’s back with the Blue Jackets again this season, continuing to play at a high level on a team currently ranked 13th in the country.
"I played for the Ohio AAA blue jackets. I recorded 14 goals and 17 assists for 31 points. I’m still on OBJ and we are currently 13th in the country."

A Moment He Won’t Forget

Every player has a moment that sticks with them. For Cole, that moment came on the national stage.
"Something I found very cool was scoring last year in nationals to tie the game late with a minute left to send it to overtime and eventually made it so we made it to the quarterfinals."
A clutch goal in a pressure situation, something that says a lot about who he is as a competitor.

What Makes Him Stand Out

Cole understands his identity as a player, and his strengths are exactly what coaches and scouts value at the next level.
"I would say my ability to play down low around the corner and in front of the net really sets me apart from everyone."
It’s the gritty areas of the game, board battles, net-front pressure, physical play, where Cole shines.

Driven On and Off the Ice

On top of his on-ice impact, Cole has a strong academic foundation. He graduated high school with a 3.4 GPA and a 26 ACT score, and he already knows what he wants to study.
"I graduated high school with a 3.4 GPA and a 26 ACT. I want to study business when I get to college."
He’s also realistic and grounded about the level he projects to play in juniors and college.
"I see myself playing in the NAHL for juniors and high end D3 or low end D1 for college."

Guidance That’s Helping Him Grow

Cole also credits Stephen Heisler for supporting him through the process and helping him get the visibility he needs.
"Working with Stephen has been pretty good so far. He’s helping me along the way and helping me get noticed by juniors scouts."

Looking Ahead

With his work ethic, ability to thrive in the tough areas, and a clutch mindset in big moments, Cole Vogt is building a strong foundation for junior hockey and beyond. He knows who he is, he knows how he plays, and he’s taking the right steps, on the ice, in the classroom, and in his development path, to keep moving forward.
