Saskatchawan Junior Hockey League's Jacob Strizzi Named HockeyWolf Player of the Week

JuniorHockey.io has named Humboldt Broncos forward Jacob Strizzi as the HockeyWolf Player of the Week for the period ending Sunday, October 12, 2025. The 19-year-old from Vaughan, Ontario, earned the recognition following another outstanding week of play in the SJHL.

Strizzi tallied five goals and one assist over three games, continuing a red-hot start to his season. He scored in all three contests, bringing his goal total to 14 through the Broncos’ first 11 regular-season games. When factoring in two pre-season matchups, he already has three hat tricks to his name — a testament to his scoring consistency.

His latest hat trick came Friday night in Battlefords in a hard-fought loss, but the performance stood out nonetheless. Across his 13 total games this season (including pre-season), Strizzi has only been held off the scoresheet twice — a remarkable run of form for the second-year forward.

Strizzi has been a key figure in Humboldt’s early-season success, helping them stay near the top of the SJHL standings. Known for his ability to rise to the moment.

Broncos head coach Brayden Klimosko had high praise for the veteran forward. “Strizzi is an elite-level forward that can take over any game… No one we would rather see with the puck on his stick in the slot.”
